Is it possible to send a completely silent notification using remote api?

I've seen an example in which when content is not included in the createMessage, no alerts/banners will show when the app is not running but the phone will still vibrate (when the phone is set to vibrate mode)

I've also seen an example in which when ios_sound is set to nothing "", the phone will not vibrate but the alert will be shown.

However, I could not get it to work with no content sent out and ios_sound is set to nothing. In other words, is it possible to send a completely silent notification with no alerts and no vibrate when the app is closed or not in focus (cause I just want the custom data).

Sure you can! Just set the "ios_sound" to "" and complete erase "content" part from createMessage.

It should work!
