I already had push messages configured and working on Android. But now testing on a Nexus 7 it somehow stopped working. In the console I always get this error:

I/GCM ( 7745): GCM config loaded V/GCMBroadcastReceiver(24438): onReceive: com.google.android.c2dm.intent.REGISTRATION V/GCMBroadcastReceiver(24438): GCM IntentService class: com.arellomobile.android.push.PushGCMIntentService V/GCMBaseIntentService(24438): Acquiring wakelock D/GCMBaseIntentService(24438): handleRegistration: registrationId = null, error = INVALID_SENDER, unregistered = null D/GCMBaseIntentService(24438): Registration error: INVALID_SENDER E/GCMIntentService(24438): Messaging registration error: INVALID_SENDER W/PushEventsTransmitter(24438): No android.permission.BROADCAST_STICKY. Reverting to simple broadcast V/GCMBaseIntentService(24438): Releasing wakelock

I've already re-checked the google api console project id. Any ideas in what cases this can happen as well?

Thanks for any hints!

Please, check that your Project Number has "A"-prefix, so in the end your Project Number should look like A123123123
