We have an app built with Phonegap Build, for Android and iOS - PushWoosh is working great for notifications.

We don't use or need the location requests. Is it possible to customise the permissions that our app requests on installation so that it doesn't ask for access to the device's location?

Actually, the functionality of GeoTags (which is responsible for setting Country and City Tags) is fully automatic, and it is not possible to disable it. Basically, the current location is obtained from the IP-address of a device.

For the GeoZones feature, it requires ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION and ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permissions in order to determine the precise location of a device through GPS, cell towers, and Wi-Fi. If you do not want your app to determine the precise location of a device, you can remove these permissions from your AndroidManifest.xml.

Thanks - looks like I can set this for PhoneGap build in my config.xml: http://docs.build.phonegap.com/en_US/configuring_config_file_element.md.html#Config%20File%20Elements
