I am using the Cordova SDK on Android. When the app is in the foreground push notifications work as expected. However, when the app is not in the foreground, when tapping on the notification from the notification center the app becomes active again but the push-notification event is not fired in Javascript.

After some investigation I found out that in PushNotifications.java the method getPushFromIntent returns null because intent.hasExtra(PushManager.PUSH_RECEIVE_EVENT) returns false. Could this be the cause of my problem? If so, is this a bug or how can I fix this?

Running on Cordova 5.0.0 and Android 4.4.2

Thanks, Maarten
