I'm using the xamarin sdk and it has a setUserId method. So my code is simple as this: PushManager manager = PushManager.GetInstance(this); manager.OnStartup (this); manager.SetUserId (this, ""+App.UserId);

Now, the question is how can I filter to send messages to that userid? It doesn't show up on the tags section and I see zero documentation on it. So if I want to send messages to that particular user, is there something on the createMessage call that allows me to do so using the userid?

This method is used to identify single user with multiple devices. Basically it is similar to setting a tag (like a "username" tag). This functionality is also a part of upcoming In App Messages release. Stay tuned!

Yes, I understand what's the reason for it. But that doesn't explain how I can use it. I can set a tag and filter from there but if you guys already have the functionality available why do it myself? There must be a way to filter createMessage to only those with the matching user id.

This part of API is not yet released to public and documented. Please wait.
