Your native iOS guide states that we should use the old version of didReceiveRemoteNotification with pushwoosh, however Apple recommends that you don't use that function anymore, instead use the version with the fetchCompletionHandler. I'm just wondering if your guide is out of date?

In fact, it's totally up to you which one of them to use. The guides are okay, since didReceiveRemoteNotification function is not deprecated yet, and can be safely used.
