Hello,

Yes, you can. Please note that it it will be necessary to perform the GCM Configuration process for your application and register your tokens for notifications.

Our /registerDevice method is being called automatically from our SDK. In case you maintain the device tokens and other identifiers of your users on your own backend, indeed, you may actually avoid integrating our SDK and register the devices remotely via API. However, we strongly discourage our users from doing this manually via API.

The disadvantage of this solution is that without SDK the overall reliability of the system would be lower: for instance, there might be a discrepancy in how your code and our SDK process the received push, which will result in incorrect display of the notification, for example, and also most of our advanced functionality just won't work.
