I want to disable alert generated by pushwoosh manager when i received notification when my app is in background mode. I have tried both Pushwoosh_SHOW_ALERT and Pushwoosh_ALERT_TYPE, it works fine in foreground mode. But i want to show custom message to user when received notifications.

As far as I understood your question you want to send pushes without sound alert?

If that so, just check the "Silent Push" checkbox in your Control Panel as portrayed below.

silent push

In case you would like to send push without any kind of visual\sound alert on the user side, add that line below in "iOS root params" field.

{"aps": { "content-available": "1"}}
