Hi,

We have a custom push system with push tokens stored in our database. We would like to migrate to pushwoosh, and our goal is to still be able to send push to all our users after the migration is done.

The answers from this conversation are not clear to me : https://community.pushwoosh.com/questions/3309/migrate-existing-custom-push-to-pushwoosh

The answers suggest that using the /registerdevice API to import our existing token is a bad idea. It also suggests that we should let the PushWoosh SDK send push tokens

Does that mean that users that will not update their app will no longer receive push ?

What is the prefered way to deal with this scenario ?

Thanks for your help !

Hello!

Using of manually called registerDevice API request is actually highly not recommended.

Best option is to add Pushwoosh SDK in your application to automate such tasks and let it do the job.

However, there is some manual import options.

Could you please contact us at help@pushwoosh.com to discuss it in more timely manner?

Regards, Nikita.
