I'm trying to use your tags mechanism to target multiple devices. However it doesn't work as expected.

  1. First I have created a tag named "category".

  2. Next, I'm setting the tags like this:

    "request": { "application":"xxx",
    "hwid": "xxx",
    "tags": {
    "category": ["european", "african"] }

  3. Finally I try to send a message with condition:

"conditions": [["category", "IN", ["african"]]] or

"conditions": [["category", "EQ", "african"]]

Those conditions work for only one of tag values (african or european). When they do for african then not for european and vice versa.

Am I'm misuing the API or this is some kind of bug?

Thank you and best regards, Mateusz

Hello Mateusz,

Could you please provide us your Pushwoosh username and the whole createMessage request that you are sending? Perhaps, there is some kind of a misprint there.

Please note that your "category" Tag has the String type, and you should create a List Tag in order to set several values for a device.

Could you please try again with the List Tag and let me know about the results?

@dmitry Yes, it makes sense. I did the fix, however it didn't help.

@dmitry However creating new tag did help. Thank you very much :)

Tag type of "category" is String(String tag can contain only one value per device). Please remove tag and create it tag with type "List"

@FallDi Yes, it was my mistake. However removing and readding tag didn't help.
